During my tenure as a Nursing Officer, I honed critical skills that are surprisingly transferable to the world of accounting. My daily responsibilities demanded meticulous attention to detail, precision in record-keeping, and the ability to work under pressure while managing complex information. I was responsible for accurate documentation, managing patient records, and ensuring the efficient use of resources – all elements that have a direct parallel in financial management. The highly regulated environment of healthcare also instilled in me a strong understanding of compliance and the importance of ethical conduct, principles I believe are paramount in accounting. My decision to transition to accounting was a deliberate one, fueled by a growing fascination with the mechanisms that drive businesses and economies. This led me to pursue my studies at the London School of Accountancy, where I immersed myself in the comprehensive ACCA curriculum. Since 2023, I've had the invaluable opportunity to work as a Trainee Accounts Clerk within my husband's company.
