Additional Information

I am an international elementary school librarian and former English literature teacher. I make my home in Mauritius but am originally from Oregon.

As a librarian and teacher working in six (6) different international schools for the past 21 years, I have developed strong organizational, time-management, and communication skills, as well as a professional demeanor. I have two Master's degrees (one in teaching and the other in Library Science), and also a TESMC (Teaching English to Students in the Mainstream Classroom) certificate, a COETAIL (Certificate of Educational Technology and Information Literacy) certificate, attended PBL (Project-Based Learning) training in order to collaborate with classroom teachers, and even took a number of master level courses in Reading Literacy. I work hard to stay updated on technology, library, literacy, and EAL trends. Additionally, I have contributed numerous articles to each of my schools' news publications, and strive to stay abreast of current trends. I served on various committees to hone my communication and listening skills. I strongly believe what sets me apart from other candidates is my background of growing up as a third culture kid in la Côte d'Ivoire for eight (8) years. I understand what it is to be both an expat and a local.
