- As a Photo Lab Technician, I am involved in day-to-day photo operations on board, including managing the setup of portrait studios and backdrops to be in line with shipboard SOPs. Delivering end products for guests in an efficient time frame.
- Work with onboard computer systems to ensure cruises are set up in advance, and templates match the environment.
- Liaise with the Photo Manager and traveling managers to constantly improve photo quality, innovative ideas for shoots, and ensure we are one step ahead of current trends.
- Operating and maintaining photography equipment, such as cameras, lenses, and studio equipment.
- Inventory of all stock to ensure a smooth procurement process.
- Responsible for all printing machines to ensure consistent quality of prints, and maintenance of the machines.
- Coordinating and training photographers on a daily or weekly basis, based on the business needs.
- Assisting portrait artists with private shoots, editing, and showcasing. Along with onboard weddings and events.
- Strong communication within the team, and both onboard and shoreside management, is essential to ensure not only a harmonious environment, but also to motivate and drive the achievement of all revenue targets.
