Currimjee Jeewanjee & Co Ltd(CJ) is a local conglomerate operating in seven key clusters of businesses, namely, Telco & Technology, Real Estates, FMCG, Business Solutions, Financial Services, Hospitality and Energy.As the Managing Director of the CJ Group and appointed since Jan 2024, I am responsible for driving the successful implementation of the strategic objectives approved by the board of directors. I am deeply involved in all strategy formulation relating to the businesses of the CJ Group.

As the Group MD, I am also chairing a number of the subsidiary boards and actively participate in number of board committees, including those of listed entities of the Group. I am also an appointed member of the Strategy & Finance Committee, the Governance Committee, and in attendance at the Audit & Risk committee of CJ.

At CJ, I am also driving number of initiatives, pertaining to building the organizational strength through Digitisation, building a customer centric culture, Talent management and development and a strong ESG agenda. These initiatives are deployed across the CJ Group companies.

Prior to my appointment as MD, I have been holding the position of Chief Finance Officer of the Group since ....... . In this position for number of years, I worked in close collaboration with the then MD and successfully delivered on a number of areas. I pioneered the digitalisation of the Group's consolidation process, drove a number of digitalisation projects across the Group, introduced an Enterprise Risk management system and produced the first Integrated report for a non listed conglomerate which won a PWC award of excellence for this achievement.

I joined CJ back in February 1991 as Accounts Manager and was later promoted to Financial Controller before being appointed as Chief Finance Officer in Jan.......
