Born in a modest family, I started to work at a very young age in order to obtain my pocket money. Since the age of 12, my Dad brought me on construction sites, to learn a job and most importantly for my self-improvement.
Since, I did a lot of part-time jobs during my school holidays, like caddie-boy in supermarkets, barman, "face-painter" during holidays seasons, and I even did an internship at Speedfreight Ltd as salesman.
Then I joined the UOM but after two years I dropped my course to follow a new one at the MIE to become a Primary School Teacher. Honestly, I never saw myself as a Primary School Teacher, I chose the employment security.
But after seeing the impact that I had in some pupils' life, everything changed and started to see myself as a source of inspiration specially for those who struggle in their everyday life.
I'm also involved in the "vac'actives" which is sponsored by Caritas and it consists of 2 weeks in Riviere Noire to provide those children both educational and emotional support and for the year 2024 I got the opportunity to be responsible of the "Vac'actives".
Actually I'm also working with an association 2 times a week which provides educational and pedagogical support to children in need but recently I realized that their focus was not the children themselves but was only motivated by political reasons and for me, I consider this as a waste of time and energy.
I had the chance to watch from distance what Quartier de Lumiere is doing for the children and the community and this aligns with my values as an Educator but most importantly as a human.
