I am an educator with more than a decade of teaching experience in the education sector in my country, Mauritius. I am currently a sociology teacher and the Head of Department in a high school (referred to as college Mauritius). Besides teaching my subject, I monitor the implementation of curriculum, classroom pedagogy and assessments for the department which include sociology and social and modern studies. I also advise members of my department on appropriate teaching methods and mentor new recruits. Moreover, I manage and conduct performance audit on the basis of assessment results for the department. It is also my duty to plan, implement and monitor strategies for improvement for both subjects and as well as organizing co-curricular activities.
