I have been working as a French teacher at SSS Hassan Raffa Boys College, Terre Rouge. I have worked with extended classes from Grade 7 to Grade 10 students. I have supported students with continuous revision work, assessments and completing the syllabus. My students have performed well during this time and I have always assisted them with extra practise through workbooks, worksheets and model essays. I always encourage students’ participation through an inclusive approach in their learning. I ensure that my lesson plans and class objectives are always up to date. I have learned to be very patient and understanding towards students.

I have been working as a language teacher at SSS Quartier Militaire Boys College. I have been working with prevocational students and my duties were not limited to teaching English and French, but I also taught them human values so that I can help them integrate our society with a positive mind. Working with prevocational students has been a challenging, yet enriching experience, as I realised the importance of students’ psychology and how their background and surrounding can influence them.

I have spent these crucial four months working in the internet
banking support team at State Bank of Mauritius (SBM) Tower, Port Louis. My main duties consisted in guiding customers with the Sbm online banking. I have learned how to work within a team, to be patient and to cope with varying customers’ needs. I have been communicating mainly in English/French with the customers and staff. I believe it has helped me gain confidence in myself. I learned how to respect my superiors, to influence in decision-making and to be disciplined.
