Accomplishments

1. Supporting the drafting of nomination dossier for the inscription of the Sega Tambour of Rodrigues as ICH of Humanity by UNESCO achieved in 2017, implementation of related safeguarding measures & provide inputs to enable drafting of periodic reporting;

2. Coordinated the conceptualization and publication of Encyclopedic and monolingual creole dictionary in 2021;

3. Leading the setting-up of the museum of Rodrigues officially opened in January 2024 & inauguration of a spiritual shrine in October 2024;

4. To monitor the implementation of arts and cultural schemes for local artists, cultural groups and non-state actors;

5. To oversee the management of cultural infrastructure, tangible and ICH for Rodrigues

6. Spearheading the creation of the audio-visual archives unit in 2014 and the staffing of the Archives unit in 2016/2017.

7. To supervise the planning and organization of major Cultural Celebrations and commemorations in Rodrigues;

8. Restoration of heritage site at Montagne Cimetiere and commemoration of the Anniversary of the Emancipation of Slavery in 2013;

9. Coordinate the inscription of the Memorial Site of l’Union as a National Site in 2016 under the National Heritage Fund Act 2003.

10. To spearhead the official inauguration of the public market of Port Mathurin;

11. To supervise the rental of 8 kiosks, poultry, meat, vegetable, locally-made products and handicraft stalls and spaces in the public market of Port Mathurin, Mont Lubin and La Ferme, Rodrigues;

12. To coordinate the launching of bids for the rental of poultry and meat stalls at the public market of Port Mathurin, Mont Lubin and La Ferme.

13. To manage social housing project and collect payment from beneficiaries.
